The United States Air Force has created an official website to share information with the public regarding the proposed Air National Guard F-35A Operational Beddown and to provide an opportunity for the public to submit comments.

That website can be found at: www.angf35eis.com.

On Dec. 21, 2017, the United States Air Force (USAF) selected Truax Field Air National Guard as one of two preferred locations for the next two Air National Guard F-35A bases.

Since the announcement, the USAF has been working to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that will assess the potential environmental consequences of an operational beddown.

Each squadron would consist of 18 Primary Aircraft Authorized and 2 Backup Aircraft Inventory. The proposed basing alternatives include: Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin, Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho, Jacksonville International Airport in Jacksonville, Florida, Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, Michigan, and Dannelly Field in Montgomery, Alabama.
